After being called out on his retarded racist bullshit by UNITY, Journalists of Color, Inc., who called his statements “beyond silly and worthy of ridicule”, and “based on the basest of white supremacist ideologies, the notion that white people and non-white people are of different species, with the white race as ‘pure’.'” Kilmeade offered the below mealy-mouthed half-assed “apology”. I guess his bosses were concerned about the impact on ratings?

In case you can’t be bothered sitting through the video, here’s what he said:

“I made comments that were offensive to many people. That was not my intention, and looking back at those comments I realize they were inappropriate. For that I sincerely apologize. America: huge melting pot–and that is what makes us such a great country…”

Let’s just break that down a little.

1) He’s sorry that people were offended (not that he said anything offensive.)
2) He didn’t set out to specifically offend people (he just opened his mouth and the racist garbage poured out!)
3) He realizes the comments were inappropriate (implying there’s a possibly in some contexts vile hate speech might be appropriate?)
4) U-S-A! U-S-A! (I LOVE AMERICA SHUT UP!)

Nice try, jerkwad. Let us know when you make a real apology.
