Is a bigot.

Dale Robertson, the head of teaparty.org., and the man who is devoted to “developing strategy to bring the Republic back under the control of ‘We The People.’” is a bigot (not to mention a poor speller.) Disagree? We offer this recent photo as evidence in support of our claim.

We recently had this story submitted to us. To give you the gist:

Proposed legislation would impose the death penalty for some gay Ugandans, and their family and friends could face up to seven years in jail if they fail to report them to authorities. Even landlords could be imprisoned for renting to gay tenants.

The legislation in its current form would mandate a death sentence for active homosexuals living with HIV or in cases of same-sex rape. “Serial offenders” also could face capital punishment, but the legislation does not define the term. Anyone convicted of a homosexual act faces life imprisonment.

Anyone who “aids, abets, counsels or procures another to engage of acts of homosexuality” faces seven years in prison if convicted. Landlords who rent rooms or homes to homosexuals also could get seven years and anyone with “religious, political, economic or social authority” who fails to report anyone violating the act faces three years.

Nice to see an African nation so determinedly putting the lie to the old stereotype of such entities as socially backward and intellectually bankrupt.

So. Many of you will have heard about Dave Burk, the Geneva High School teacher who recently brain-bombed his Consumer Education class with the statement “How would you feel about your tax dollars going to pay some black fag in New York to take pictures of other black fags?”

Predictably, this two-for-the-price-of-one bazooka of bigotry detonated all over the Webbertubes and resulted in one of his gay students, Jordan Hunter, filing a complaint.

It turns out that the Geneva School Board have finally got together and voted unanimously to slap him on the wrist with a wet bus ticket. I mean Good Lod, not only did he have to say “sorry”(!) but they’ve informed him that if he keeps being a racist homophobe out loud using his speaking words he might, you know, one day lose his job(!!)

Very telling was the choice of words he used in his “apology”. He stated that he “used a very poor example of words to make [his] point” (oh ya think?) and that “The message I conveyed was insensitive and hurtful. This is not what I had intended.”

Well great. Maybe we all should run around ranting racist homophobic crap in public and then act all hurt and surprised that people get offended. I mean maybe we’re all retarded three-year-olds with Tourette’s, right? Maybe we don’t get that screaming BLACK FAGS at room full of young people might not get the dignified nods of acceptance and understanding that we were shooting for.

I’m going to file Dave under D for “dimwit” and the Geneva School Board under G for “gutless.”
